Cookie and storage notice

How Open Banking Compare uses browser storage. This complements our privacy policy.

Consent choice (local storage)

On your first visit we show a banner implemented with a toast. Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key cookie_consent with values accepted or declined. Clearing site data for this origin resets the choice and you will see the prompt again.

Optional analytics (PostHog)

If you click Accept, we initialise PostHog (EU configuration as deployed). PostHog may set cookies or use other storage to recognise returning visitors and record product analytics events. If you click Decline, PostHog is not loaded and no PostHog cookies are set by our integration path.

You can change your mind later by clearing site data, or by using browser controls to remove third-party storage where applicable.

Vercel Analytics

We enable Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance metrics. Vercel describes its approach in its own documentation; treat this as a separate, largely anonymous analytics layer from PostHog.

Strictly necessary

Like most sites, basic delivery of pages may rely on transient technical identifiers and caching controlled by your browser and our hosting provider. We do not use those identifiers to sell personal data.

Cookie banner copy

The on-site banner states that optional analytics (PostHog, EU) load only if you accept, that Vercel Analytics is separate and anonymous, and points you to this page for detail.
